The Crooked Castle
Not much this week; mowed the back lawn, visited my father (and brother Pete and family), saw one movie.
“The Nice Guys” is a detective buddy movie set in 1978. It is vulgar and violent and funny, but not on “Deadpool” levels in any case. It has a lot of period music, and lets you see Ryan Gosling scream like a little girl several times. Precocious daughter Angourie Rice is AMAZING.

Today I fought the first skirmish in this year’s campaign of the never ending war against the ever-encroaching hideous herbaceous hordes. While battle has still not been joined on the Western Front, the battle on the Eastern Front was successful, and the creeping green horror was pushed back to its historical mid-winter boundaries. (I mowed the front lawn.)
